Also Pompeii and Herculaneum join to the event "A Night in the Museum" promoted by the Ministry of the Cultural Goods and Activities and of the Tourism. The last Saturdays of July, August and September it will be possible to take part in visit runs on purpose predisposed by the Special Superintendence for the Archaeological Goods in Naples and Pompeii to illustrate the life and the death in the two main Vesuvius archaeological sites. The first appointment is on Saturday July 27th, the second one on Saturday August 31st and the last one on Saturday September 28th 2013.

In Pompeii, with departure from Porta Marina, the run will develop along the external road to the archaeological area which coasts the surrounded building, the venus temple and the Imperial Vill, to end at the Auditorium of Esedra Square. The experts of the Superintendence will illustrate to the visitors the main aspects of the ancient Pompeii life and society (the Spa and the leisure time, the temples and the religious architecture, the commerce and the economic activities). Along the run, conducted and fascinated by the story of the guides, a tape will be projected which will illustrate the main phases of the eruption which destroyed the city and the two letters of Plinio the Young which, with dramatic precision, describes it, will be read. Finally, in the Auditorium of Esedra Square some calcs of the eruption victims corpses with the illustration of the technique that allows to get them.
