Fifth Edition Sorrento Gentile 2014

A long-awaited event in the Sorrento Summer is the review Sorrento Gentile, which reaches this year the fifth edition: a series of meetings with important national and international dance, theater, journalism and culture protagonists.

The meetings, hosted as usual by the journalist Giuliana Gargiulo, will be held in the splendid scenery of the Cloister of St. Francis on Thursdays of the July and August months at 7.30 p.m., beginning on July 10th 2014.

The first appointment, exactly on Thursday July 10th, will be with a homage to the great Neapolitan actor and playwright Eduardo de Filippo, after thirty years since his passing away, with the aid of the theater critic Giulio Baffi, Eduardo's assistant.

Then on Thursday July 17th there will be the presentation of the book "Me, one of the three", by Brunello Canessa, devoted to Titina de Filippo, after fifty years since her death.

On Thursday July 24th instead the actress and director Lara Sansone will remember the actress Luisa Conte, after twenty years since her death.

Finally on Thursday July 31st the television journalist Antonio Lubrano will introduce his last book "The aunts' island."

Then Sorrento Gentile will go on with the appointments of August.

Also this review, as the so many artistic and cultural appointments helding in Sorrento, shows as this city is not only a tourist place, but also and above all an important cultural center.
