The Ieranto Bay

The Ieranto Bay is a place of uncontaminated beauty located opposite Capri Faraglionis, in the Sea Protected Area of Punta Campanella.
According to the legend among the crystalline waters of the Ieranto Bay the Mermaids are hidden, who enchanted Ulisse during his way back to Itaca.
The Ieranto Bay and the promontory of Punta Campanella offer splendid panoramas: the coast is rich in small bays, rocks, caves and beaches, immersed in a luxuriant and amazing nature. The area was given to the FAI (Italian Environment Fund) in 1986 and it stretches through 49 hectares in the hinterland, covering 5 km of coast.

Special Guided Tours to Ieranto Bay

To discover the incomparable beauty of these places it recurs again the cycle of special guided visits to the Ieranto Bay, possession of the FAI, Italian Environment Fund in Massa Lubrense, an unique occasion to deepen the knowledge of the place and of its history, legends, myths, characteristic geomorfologiches and tastes.

They are a series of guided visits by appointment with different thematic readings. on botany, art, history, archaeology, ethnology, myth and literature, agriculture. for a deeper knowledge of the protected area. At the end of every visit, a deepening meeting will be held with experts of the area and cultural associations.

At the end of the meeting the FAI will offer to the guests tastes of local products offered by local operators.
