Sorrento Carnival

Also Sorrento and the whole Sorrento Peninsula gets ready to celebrate the craziest feast of the year with dances in mask, musical shows, allegorical floats, parades, corianders and games which involve big and young along the roads of the peninsula.

Finally, after so many years of absence, the aldermen of the Sorrento, Sant'Agnello, Piano of Sorrento and Meta City Hall decided to organize the traditional one parade which will depart from Meta to reach Sorrento. The procession will obviously march on the main peninsula road, the Corso Italia.

And ther will be also musical shows, street artists and entertainments in the squares for the youngest.

The appointment in on Sunday March 2nd 2014 (in case of rain on Tuesday March 4th) at 1.30 p.m. in Meta from where the procession will depart to finish in Sorrento.

On March 4th, Carnival Day, there will be a great party with beginning at 3 pm in Andrea Veniero Square. From here it will depart a parade of children, jugglers, street artists and a great long dragon around 60 meters. The animators will invite big and young to actively participate in the parade which will reach Tasso Square. Here there will be shows, music and the theater of the puppets, to spend joyful a few times together.

Termini Carnival

An appointment repeated every year since more than 30 years is the Carnival of Termini, a small Massa Lubrense-hamlet at few kilometris from Sorrento.

The background is exceptional, as this small town is located just opposite Capri and so it enjoys a privileged panorama.

Along the illuminated roads of the center every year a parade of allegorical floats marchs. They are built months earlier by the inhabitants of Termini and of other Massa Lubrense-hamlets.

T 12.30 a.m. parade allegorical floats leaving from Via Capo d'Arco. In the square Santa Croce "Village of Carnival" with Moon Park, Animation and Gran Final show with Beads of Soap Giants.
At 6.00 p.m. awarding for the Water Polo Competition "Carnival Cup" with Music Games and Dances

At 7.30 p.m. exhibition edited by Zumba Body Fit Club - At 8.30 p.m. evening disk with dances in mask "Carnival Party"

On Tuesday March 4th 2014

At 11.00 a.m. opening stand of local typical gastronomy.
At 2.30 p.m. parade Allegorical Floats leaving from Via Capo d'Arco.
In Square Santa Croce Baby Dance, Games and Shows.

Carnival Gastronomy Sorrento
