Popular Feasts Sorrento and Surrounding Area

On August 3th, 4th and 5th 2014 in Arola in Vico Equense there will be the Feast of the Riavulillo. The Riavulillo is a small smoked cheese, hand made and stuffed with black olives, olive oil and minced chilli pepper. It is a feast for all those people who love the culinary traditions. Cheered by music and shows, the lion's share is taken by the Riavulillo, which is served alone or stuffed in a filled roll with various and genuine vegetables and accompanied by the local wine, joy of every gourmets. Not to absolutely lose it is the Provolone of the Monk Cheese, served with the local honey that exalts its tast. Besides to finish tasting of the local quality, the Feast offers the tasting of a vast choice of traditional desserts.

On August in Colli di Fontanelle in Sant'Agnello there will be the 35th edition of the Show Market of the Typical Products, an exposure and sale of numerous and assorted local typical products, with tastings and entertainment shows. The event is a guarantee for quality and respect of the country traditions of the zone, handed down not only through the genuine food and the ancient recipes, but also through runs that allow to relive the history of Colli di Fontanelle, thanks to photographic exhibitions, theme meetings and driven visits of notable interest as the ancient method of the pressing of the grape.
